Have you ever considered joining a committee? Consider joining one of our standing committees. Serving on a standing committee is one of the best ways of contributing to the work of CSJ@UF. Standing committees are at the heart of the organization. It is through the team effort of committee members that we will be able to provide education and awareness training; organize fundraisers and community events; build socially just, meaningful relationships with community partners; develop guidelines and standards for social justice curriculum and practice; and collect, produce, and share data that advocate and promote our social justice initiatives.
Serving on a standing committee provides opportunities for professional development, networking with peers, and exchanging information. By working together, we gain insights into the complexity of issues. More importantly, it helps to advance the cause of social justice. We need your views and your expertise. Please consider joining a committee this fall. It can be great fun and quite a rewarding experience. Whether you would like to volunteer a lot or a little there is a committee for you. Review the list of standing committees and identify those areas that you have some interest in participating in or contact the chair of the committee you are interested in to finding out more information about the committee's goals.
